SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
As System Administrator at Genera you will be responsible for managing our IT environment for development and testing as well as our internal IT network.
The daily work includes maintenance of environments, proactive work with improvements in system architecture, documentation and customization of environments and systems for new projects. You will also install our software at customers and support them during re-installation or updates.
In the role, you will be responsible for the company’s IT security and access to information, tools, hardware and licenses. You will also maintain and support the company’s internal IT solutions such as networks and laptops.
You have at least three years of experience as a system administrator or dev ops.
Technical skills
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux / Ubuntu Linux
- Server hardware and SAN architecture (setup, configuration and administration)
- Understanding of networking, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPN (IPSec, OpenVPN)
- Monitoring tools (Nagios/Zabbix)
- Application servers: Tomcat/Jboss
- MySQL and Oracle database administration
- Shell scripting: bash or python
- Configuration management tools: ansible/puppet/chef/cfengine (we are using ansible)
- VMware vSphere (setup, configuration and maintenance)
- Development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Teamcity/Jenkins, git
It would be particularly good if you know the basics of the following;
- OWASP, and Web services security
- MS Windows Server 2008/2012
- Cloud Architecture
- Agile Development such as Kanban or Scrum
- Automated installations
- Mac OSX, Apple computers and iPhones
Personal characteristics

It is important that you are self-motivated, accurate and can structure your own work as well as a team player who can take help of and help colleagues.
Since you will act as support to our development teams and help them with their daily routines we see that you are outgoing and a good communicator, in speech and writing and in both Swedish and English.
